In Star War Galaxy leveling is the only way is the way in which you are allowed to develop your characters skill base. As your levels increase, so do your options for game play. You will not be able to do much in the course of the game other than stick to the 'newbie' areas until you have a few levels under your belt.

The traditional way for Star War Galaxy leveling is to trudge your way through the newbie areas for countless hours until you have gained enough experience to make your character strong enough to survive (just barely) in the not so newbie areas. This is a long and arduous process at best and monumentally boring most of the time. However, it is the way of gaming. While in the beginning, say for the first hour or two, it helps you begin to learn the mechanics of the game, once you've got that down, the entire Star War Galaxy leveling process should run much smoother than it actually does. Of course we probably all think our characters should be able to level much faster than most games allow this to happen.
